Social Media Strategist (Part time/Contract)

Overview

As the Man Ex Social Media Strategist you’ll join a team of creative professionals as our resource for social media content strategy and creation as we plan the launch of our partner travel app to help save rhinos in Africa and other endangered wildlife. You will decide how our existing and new members will learn about the app via social channels. Your strategy will help teach them about our offering, and guide them into our app, and engage with them in real time. Use your creative ideas and firm grasp of the Man Ex brand and voice to deploy content and campaigns that raise our public profile. Your main focus will be to devise creative ways to rapidly grow engagement on social media to drive a measurable ROI. You will operate autonomously under the direct supervision of the CEO.

Qualifications

  • 2 - 3 years of experience providing creative direction for social media strategies

  • Minimum 1 year experience managing a brand across multiple social media channels

  • Familiarity with Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

  • Strong writing skills and strong sense of curating compelling visual elements

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and creative thinker

  • Demonstrated skill for content strategy and ideation

  • Proven copy-writing capability with examples of short and long form content

  • Deep love for the well-made marketing assets that drive emotion and action

Responsibilities

  • Devise, update, and adapt the Man Ex marketing content strategy

  • Learn the Man Ex voice, and bring it to our key audiences

  • Assist in the creation of all forms of digital marketing materials

  • Understand and support the marketing needs of other business teams

  • Develop website content strategy and guide content creation

  • Create and implement a social strategy to drive rapid follower growth

  • Develop, edit, and disseminate social content on a daily basis

  • Interact with followers and engage with partner social media accounts

  • Report analytics and identify opportunities for improved engagement

  • Conduct social listening and stay on top of social media trends

Requirements

  • Practical knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics

  • Experience with doing audience and buyer persona research

  • Good understanding of social media KPIs

  • Outstanding multitasking skills

  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

  • Team player

  • Good organizational and time-management skills

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
