In 2015 alone, South Africa lost more than a devastating 1 175 rhino to illegal poaching, with a rhino killed every seven hours. More of these magnificent animals are now being lost to poachers every year than there are being born. The Okavango Delta has proven to be a successful rhino relocation habitat and Botswana has a strong security and monitoring framework in place, with the country’s military helping to protect the endangered species.
Dedicated research and rehabilitation teams work tirelessly 365 days a year to serve and protect the endangered Rhino species by relocating one rhino at a time across the South African boarder into Botswana where they more protected against illegal poachers.
